n Sunday 2nd May Momentum held a fundraising black-tie dinner event for 300 guests, at Holy Cross Prep School in George Road Kingston. Entertainment was provided by the fabulous 18-piece band swing band, ‘Any Swing Goes’. The band is fronted by Glenn Dunn and was joined by guest singers David Erik, Amy Hill, Kim Ismay (who is also a Patron of Momentum), Kieran Jae and Kelly Rainford. The MC for the evening was Simon Slater, who also did magnificent work chairing the auction, which raised over £11,000.

The whole evening was masterminded by Momentum Trustee, Steven Humphrey McDermott, whose ‘day job’ is as the Lighting Director for the West End hit show MAMMA MIA! Steven is always incredibly creative and ambitious with his ideas and they certainly pay off. A fantastic evening was had by all our guests.

The total amount raised by ‘Swing Time in Spring Time’ was £18,956.93. This magnificent amount will be used to continue Momentum’s support for children in Surrey and South West London who have cancer and life-limiting conditions. It will also be put towards ongoing projects in the Paediatric Department at Kingston Hospital and new projects in St. George’s Hospital in Tooting.
